"I appreciate your judgement; it's proven I can't trust a word you say."


So I got back from AFO9 yesterday... it was AWESOME!
~shukri-the-prodigy, our friend Brandon, and I left the house on Thursday so we could get the Swords of Orlandia pass, which is like the VIP thing there (no waiting in line for me!) and we got there around 4-ish and checked in. Pulling into the parking lot, we saw ~ShinokaMyuh's older brother so I called him and Noka and her brothers hung out in my room until registration opened around 7. We played a word game (which we got bored of eventually) and watched the first two episodes of REC. When registration opened, we stood in line for about an hour just waiting to get our passes. While we were waiting, I got a call from ~Risky-chan and ~Minty-roo, who were sharing my room. I met up with them and we got our Orlandia passes and went back to the room. After a while, we went to the Celebrity Meet and Greet, where Minty and I made Risky blush (we got Jason David Frank to kiss her). After that, we watched a little of the Smash Brothers competition, which Shukri had lost in (there are so many awesome gamers, I give props to them all). We then went to the Karaoke party where Risky saaang with some random chick. xD Going to sleep on Thursday was a challenge. xD Brandon had a giant pixie stick about an hour before going to sleep so his sugar rush was just kicking in around 1 in the morning. By the time he finally stopped talking, it was about 3:45-4 in the morning and we got up at 9. Talk about no sleep~!
Friday, I wandered around the Dealer's room, dressed as Sonson from Marvel vs Capcom 2, until about 3 when I went to the America's Funniest Cosplay panel. After that... well... I really don't remember what I did after that. There was a lot of random shopping and talking with ~nolongertab (cosplaying Matt), *Uke-of-Death (cosplaying Steven), and ~KRISH-un (cosplaying Ed). I skipped Opening Ceremonies to go to dinner with them, too. THE PANEL ABOUT NOTHING WAS THE GREATEST THING EVER! I hung out with Noka, Minty and Risky there too. After that, we went to the Anime's Craziest Deaths until I almost fell asleep at the panel. >_> It was easier to fall asleep there than in the room... Too much excitement.
Saturday, I went to the Game Room and watched Shukri own in Brawl and SCIV until I got bored and wandered around the dealers room and the artist alley. I met up with TAB, Uke, and Krish and we went to the Aaron Dismuke panel where I got his autograph and a hug and a picture. >_> I never used to like him, now I do. He's kinda funny. After that, I went to the Quick Draw panel (I lost! 8D) and then to Cici's for dinner. Afterwords, I went to the Whose Line is it Anime? panel and watched TAB, Uke and Krish go on stage and be the dorks they are. Noka and I got bored halfway through and went to the Monica Rial panel... and she was DRUNK. It was FUNNY! I love her now~ ^^ Then Noka and I went to the Rave for a little big, met up with Risky and Minty again and went back to the room and played Anime Scattegories until about 2AM. xD
Sunday was relatively short. I woke up around 8:30 and headed to the con at about 9. I spent the rest of my money in the Dealers Room and checked out of the room at about 11, heading home at about 11:30.
All in all, this was the best con yet. I had so much fun and I have my friends to thank for that. ^^ You guys ROCK!
Oh, and I came home with about $6. I DIDN'T SPEND EVERYTHING!
I should have pictures up sometime this week (or next week...) once I sort through them all and edit the dark and blurry ones. So many awesome costumes! 8D
I really hope I can go next year!
